Cook County has dropped its 16 felony charges against actor, singer, and gay Tupac Jussie Smollett, and now all of his troubles are over! If only it were that easy.
The SSN Crew discusses the fallout from the scandal outgoing Chicago mayor Rahm Emmanuel called a "whitewashing of justice", the likelihood of his actual guilt or innocence, and what this means for not Jussie's career, but his family's reputation in the industry. Once upon a time in the 1940s, Shazam!, aka The Superhero Formerly Known as Captain Marvel, was the most popular superhero on the comic book stands - outselling even Superman! His success helped launch Fawcett Comics and the careers of creators such as C.C. Beck, Jack Kirby, and Otto Binder, and Captain Marvel - the alter-ego of a teenaged radio reporter named Billy Batson - was the first comic book superhero to get his own movie serial.
In subsequent years, however, Shazam! and his extensive cast of friends, foes, and family members have fallen into relative obscurity among the general public. Holy Moley - what happened?! And why?
